Māori agribusiness innovation has been showcased at this week’s Foodomics conference in Wellington.

Mr Morgan said the conference wrapped up a 10-year plan to drive economic growth for Aotearoa by developing high-value foods with validated health benefits.

Māori have been part of that.

“We’ve got a whole generation coming through. Yesterday and the day before we had a number of presentations from Māori groups including my own Wakatū Incorporation on their programmes. So it’s widened and but quite a lot of masters and PhDs are coming through in the different programmes,” Mr Morgan says.
