The Broadstairs Easter Food Festival has a distinctly green theme this year with junior and adult planting sessions alongside hands-on craft and cookery workshops.
Children will be able to try their hands at winding willow, screen printing and rolling sushi.
Each year, the free-to-enter festival brings together almost 100 of the region’s best artisan food and drink producers. They offer an eclectic array of local and regional delicacies, seasoned with a peppering of workshops and demonstrations.
The festival’s Easter bonnets are going regal for 2024 with drop-in sessions of making paper crowns, suitable for even the youngest family members.
All the children’s sessions are free-to-attend.
Event director Jo Scott said: “As a not-for-profit company we continually look to raise funds. Our online draw offers the chance to win amazing prizes: stainless steel kitchenware, a gourmet foraging day, a stay in Broadstairs and supper in a harborside restaurant.”
The food festival takes place on Victoria Gardens from March 29 to March 31. Gates open at 10am closing at 6pm on Friday and Saturday, 5pm Sunday.
Entry is free with ‘Pop a Pound’ buckets for people to donate if they wish.
Only Assistance Dogs may enter the area. For more information go to www.broadstairsfoodfestival.org.uk
