FOOD Network fans have threatened to boycott The Kitchen after Alex Guarnaschelli’s sudden firing from the show.
Alex shared a selfie to her personal Instagram on Monday.

“It’s Monday people. Don’t let the small stuff get to you. Have a donut & coffee in your car. Hang in there!” she wrote.
The 54-year-old said nothing of his time on The Kitchen or departure from the show.
But that was all that the commenters on her photo could talk about.
They took turns leaving messages of support for Alex.

Many told her they missed her on The Kitchen.
Others vowed to boycott the show since Alex was no longer a part of it.
“We were so sad to learn you are no longer in The Kitchen! We have a couple of theories. Was it hard to always be the smartest person in the room? Was it because you didn’t suffer fools gladly? Miss you!” one forlorn viewer wrote.
“Are you coming back to The Kitchen? I really miss you and so do THOUSANDS of your fans,” another posted.
“I stopped watching the Kitchen. I think it’s a bit ridiculous they haven’t acknowledged someone no longer being on the show. I don’t have to know why but just acknowledge the change so people won’t ask where she is, when she’s coming back, etc and thank her. They did this before when Marcella was fired,” one incensed viewer huffed.
“Miss you so much in the Kitchen. You brought the real joy of cooking. You are so talented,” added another.
Alex also had some good news for fans in a reply tucked away in the sea of comments.
“Please tell me you have new supermarket stakeout and Alex vs America shows coming!! I’m stuck to my bed and your shows have got me through so much.. your humor, your voice when talking about how a meal comes together, your passion – keeps me sane.. I miss you in the kitchen as well,” one fan wrote.
“I do,” Alex responded, with those successful two words.
IT’S HEATING UP
In early February, Alex was initially removed from The Kitchen’s website.
This came after she had given subtle hints that she may have fired.
Alex answered questions on her Instagram over the weekend regarding her absences from the popular show.
She suggested she had left the show with a cryptic message to a follower.
The chef has been absent from a few episodes with no explanation.
Recently, the Food Network removed her as a co-host from the website.
Although not officially explaining, they also removed Alex from the promotional photo for episode 11 on series 33.
Now, only co-host Jeff Mauro was featured in the image.
“The cooks teach their top salad recipes. Jeff Mauro makes his blistered tomato and farro shrimp salad, Alex Guarnaschelli gets scientific with a chicken Caesar salad,” the photo was captioned on their website.
Looking elsewhere, Alex’s name is no longer included on the site.
The series premiered on Food Network in 2014 with hosts Sunny Anderson, Jeff Mauro, Katie Lee, Geoffrey Zakarian, and Marcela Valladolid.
Marcela left in 2017, and Alex joined a few years later in 2020.
The star asked her fans for questions via her Instagram Story.
Plenty of fans submitted comments about missing Alex.
“Sorry you aren’t on The Kitchen anymore, you brought a lot of knowledge to the show,” one fan wrote in.
“That means a lot to me. “More than you know, thank you,” replied Alex.
FAN LOVE
Fans posted a screengrab of this comment on Reddit and expressed their concern that she might not return.
“I wish FN let hosts say when they are leaving the show,” one upset fan wrote.
“Especially with things like The Kitchen.”
“It leaves the audience a little confused and is also just kind of a bummer,” they added.
“She was the best part of that show. What a shame!,” a second Food Network viewer said.
“If this is true, I will miss her on the show….I think Alex brought a unique perspective,” another fan commented.
