Hong Kong Food and Tea Fairs Kick Off

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has announced the fusion of two prominent events, the HKTDC Food Expo PRO and the Hong Kong International Tea Fair, set to take place from August 17 to 19 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This strategic combination aims to create a full, one-stop professional platform for global specialty food and beverage, tea, and related products sourcing, catering to the needs of industry players such as importers, wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, hospitality groups, department stores, and e-tailers.

HKTDC Food Expo PRO: A B2B-Focused Powerhouse

Transforming the Food Expo Trade Hall into Food Expo PRO this year, the HKTDC is placing a strong emphasis on business-to-business (B2B) interactions. This B2B-centric approach is designed to facilitate networking, deal-making, and knowledge-sharing among industry professionals. The ‘Food Science and Technology’ zone will be a notable feature, showcasing innovative solutions and advancements in the sector. Additionally, pavilions from various countries, including Mainland China, Japan, South Korea, and Poland, will provide a global perspective, offering a wide array of products tailored to regional tastes and preferences. Other product categories slated for display include food packaging, labelling and logistic services, food processing products, machinery, and halal food and beverage products, reflecting the industry’s broad spectrum.

The Hong Kong International Tea Fair: A Symphony of Tea and Related Products

The concurrent Hong Kong International Tea Fair will serve as a global marketplace for a vast range of tea and related products. Attendees can expect to find an enticing variety of tea packaging, teaware, and tea technology, reflecting the industry’s evolution and innovation. Several provinces from Mainland China will participate with group pavilions, bringing a rich mix of regional tea cultures and traditions. The Sri Lanka pavilion is also set to return, bringing with it a wealth of Ceylon tea products, a sign to the island nation’s renowned tea industry.

Both fairs will adopt the HKTDC’s EXHIBITION+ model, integrating online and offline elements to create a seamless, user-friendly experience. The smart business platform, Click2Match, will be open from August 10 to 26, extending face-to-face interactions and facilitating meaningful connections even after the physical event concludes.

Jointly organised by the Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association (MCMIA) with the HKTDC and eight scientific research institutions, the conference aims to deliver professional insights into Chinese medicine at the show.

The public is invited to visit the fair on the last day, August 19, with ticket admission. Concurrent public fairs include Food Expo, Beauty & Wellness Expo, and Home Delights Expo, offering a diverse range of experiences for visitors looking to explore the latest trends and products in these sectors.
